![]() This is Fd Ch Beaverdam's Rob, sire of Fd Ch Watatic Rob. I believe that every Patch hound out there goes back to Rob. Some things that strike me about this photo are his tight feet, straight top line and that expression that just seems to say "let me at em!" Rob was owned by Claywood Beagles of Maine and was advertised at stud in the mid 1950's. Beaverdam's Rob was advertised as 12 1/4" while Watatic Rob boasted a massive 12 3/4" height. These hounds brought Starleaf blood as well as FC Sureboy's Pat into the Patch line. Willet was brilliant in incorporating this excellent hound into the line. From stories I have heard, these hounds both possessed brains and stamina as well as the ability to pass on those traits. *************************************************************************************************************************************** I have been a little lax in getting blog posts on the site. Summertime is always hectic but just seemed a little worse this year. I am sitting on some good stories and some nice pictures that I would like to post. I have stories of Snow Hill Luke, Cymbrian Bonnie Patch and a beautiful picture of "Silver Shiloh Patch" from the Koster's. As time permits, I will add more blog
